I've managed to get myself to a country where there is no St. Patrick's Day Parade -- not even an Irish embassy, just an honorary consulate. I suspect March 17 will be a little quieter than I'm used to.
I am alive and well and enjoying Amman -- and so far, Amman seems to be enjoying me.
I'm settling in --…

After a long period of prayer and reflection, it is with deep sadness that I realize that as a matter of conscience, I will be unable to march in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City on March 17th.

We are also putting the final details together for a big prize package and online party for our official launch on March 6! Be on the lookout for more information.
John, would love to hear some of your performances, particularly "Rose of Tralee," "Cruiskeen Lawn, " and "The Parting Glass." Might you stream a select few here in the community? Take a look at https://soundcloud.com. It's a tool we can readily accommodate here, though we too are just exploring its potential for us. John, any anecdotes and, especially, pix you can share from your recent encounter with Liam Neeson?
Father John, I suspect, is much too self-effacing to offer these links here, but in recognition of his good services to The Wild Geese, his excellent singing talents and his work as head of Xavier Society for the Blind, I bring these offerings to the community's attention. (I grabbed them from the Society's most-recent newsletter.) My sense is that the revenue generated from sales goes to support Xavier's mission.
Go to http://bit.ly/h9JNpi to acquire them.
