Gaelic Braille and Finding Books by Carl Gilbert Hardebeck (1869-1945).

eugene dunphy a href="mailto:edunphy@btinternet.com" target="_blank">edunphy@btinternet.com is researching a book about this Irish writer and musician.

I'm writing to you in the hope that you could assist in solving some unsolved mysteries. Having been elected as President of the Irish Association for the Blind in 1938, Hardebeck's Association published a vast array of books for the blind using Gaelic Braille (which he himself devised).
Unfortunately, I have not been successful in locating any of these books. I've also had no luck in locating Hardebeck'sIrish Music, the book he began writing in the 1920s.
If you can help in any way, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
And from the point of view of the Xavier Society for the Blind, which is my "day job," we;d be interested in learning more about Gaelic braille as well as the music
