Fr. John at Barnes & Noble - A link to one song from a concert I did at B&N at a time in my life when I had shaved my beard for a charity event. Raised $5,000 for the beard -- doesn't change the sound.

Recently read THE IMMORTAL IRISHMAN by Timothy Egan. Not only was it a great story about a forgotten Irishman who played a major role in the Civil War, but it brilliantly recounted periods of Irish/English history. It also summed up the core hopefulness and joy of Irish culture. It did not neglect the darker side of Irish American history, the hostility which has pervaded our relationship with African Americans even though we both started at nearly the same negative socio-economic vantage point. I would be most interested in the comments of those of you who have read it.
