Irish Writing Contest Award Winners

Over 90 people attended the Award Ceremony on May 1 at the Garden City Library to honor the award winners of the Irish Cultural Society writing contest.  Thirty-five high school students from Nassau County, New York emerged as the winners in a contest which drew 521 entries from 18 schools.  The first, second and third place winners are posted on the web site of the Irish Cultural Society, www.irish-society.org.  The list of winners is below.…
