Your message :
Please in the name of human decency do not make a programme about the irish famine that is any way degrading obscene or disrespectful to the memory of the dead and the countless families torn asunder by famine. I expect more from your channel than this.
Time will tell, Jarlath. If nothing else the response to this idea from around Ireland and the Irish diaspora has put Channel 4 on notice that they will face a firestorm if they go ahead with this and it in any way makes light of the tragic events and great suffering of the Irish people during the Great Hunger.
I have made my objections know to this insulting BBC 4 notion of portraying the Famine in Satirical comedy. If there is a list if names to be .published to vote against this ; can someone please tell me where it is ?
There is a petition on The Wild Geese ; objecting to this Programme being made ;; PLease ; please sign iT
