From NYIrish with Tommy D - April 10, 2014

For those of you don't know there has been a worldwide initiative going on where different cities around the world are making YouTube videos to Pharrell Williams song "Happy." The entry by Shane Wallace of Wallace Media and Donegal TV has gone viral with over 128,000 hits so far. Word of this got back to Oprah and her staff and now they will be mentioning it on an upcoming interview conducted with the singer. Good times for Donegal and congratulations!

This is grand! Love the Butchers! It was great to see some of the less traveled spots represented, some of my favorites, as well

Bit, its great to meet you .. When I'm Ireland I live in Ballybofey, Donegal and don't get to see many of these places either. But I intend to :)

My specialty is off-the-beaten path sites... I love the Sliabh Liag cliffs and An Tra Bahn... both were in the video

That is a beach that you have to seriously WANT to walk... all those steps to the bottom!

This is a perfect example of things in Donegal no one knows about. I'm looking to start promoting Donegal more through film, tourism, etc .. I'm starting a production company and want to be part of the Irish Arts world in all capacities. Thanks for sharing

You and I should definitely talk... I know a lot of out-of-the-way places... and not just in Donegal....

My husband and I are starting to think of another Ireland trip next year- last time we didn't get to Donegal, so we're hoping to stay there for several days of our trip. I look forward to hearing more about Donegal from you, Tommy!
