There's a very good article here from The Irish Times on new numbers from the Department of National Defence in Canada on the Irish who served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War 1, although the number is likely underestimated. I'm 4th generation Irish and had my first chance last year to visit and it was love at first sight! Visiting there just opened my heart and soul to all the Irish in me! It's filled me and I can't wait to go back again :)
