Glad you enjoyed my book, Cynthia. I know I'm going to enjoy your scones. Perhaps we have more in common: I'm originally from Newburyport, MA and I see that you're from Hampstead, NH (not sure where that is, but can't be too far!). I now live on Long Island.
My friend from St. Helena, CA sent one of your books to me for my birthday years ago and I've scribbled notes on recipes, I've used it so frequently. I love the photos, as well. It's the Irish Puddings, Tarts, Crumbles, and Fools book, but I think there's another one of your books floating around somewhere, as well. This one, however, is one I use often. Yes, Newburyport is a 40 minute drive and my husband and I went to Plum Island on Saturday to walk. In the midst of the intensity of my fiction writing, I must bake! I'm trying to do a GoFund project to self-publish my dessert/essay book. It will have paintings and a cd of music to accompany. Nostalgic recipes with an organic twist. I'd never self-publish my historical fiction books, but this book doesn't fit with a traditional publisher (and I'm not a professional chef). Now I will have to seek out more of your books. I didn't realize there were so many. Glad to meet you on this very interesting and inspiring web site.
