Rab is a Galway-based storyteller who originally comes from Scotland. He specialises in reimagining Irish and Scottish myths, folklore and urban legends. His "Celtic Tales" summer sessions in Galway have a strong and growing local and international reputation. His new sessions begin in The Crane Bar in June.
His published books include:
"Galway Bay Folk Tales" published by The History Press Ireland in 2013. A collection of fast paced stories that reimagine the myths, folklore and urban legends of Galway Bay.
"The stores are retold in his distinct humorous and lively style" - Facts & Fiction magazine.
"Transformation" published by Dark Continents Publishing in 2012. This novella begins as a love story set in contemporary Galway. However, the tale darkens as a creature from Irish folklore intrudes violently into the lives of the young lovers.
‘A dark, supernatural story that manages to make you cry,
laugh and scare you to bits.’ - Galway City Tribune.
I'm so excited to watch Rab Fulton live this Saturday! I've heard about him for years! Thank you to the wild Geese!
I shall to establish the SAST - holding thumbs!
I enjoyed talking with Rab so much! I can't wait to see him perform at the Crane Bar this summer, and to get his books! One thing I should have asked you Rab...can you tell give us the English translation of the song the fairies were singing in your second folktale?
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I only caught the tail end of Rab, but it was well worth it! And Kelly, you're cute as a button!
Claire, you can watch the full session via the video window above at any time.
Thank you, Ryan! I immediately figured it out and am watching now! Loving this!
Thanks, Claire :)
