Hello, fellow Wild Geese!

We're delighted to announce that The Irish Pub film will open at cinemas in the U.S. and Canada today! The documentary - which was directed, produced, filmed and edited by Alex Fegan - will begin a minimum week-long run in six cinemas in five cities (Landmark Theatres in Boston & Washington D.C.,  and Rainbow Cinemas in Toronto, Calgary & Saskatoon) before being rolled out across North America over the following weeks.

The Irish Pub is a humorous and poignant celebration of third generation pubs around Ireland and the publicans that own them, exploring how the pub acts as a key pillar in tight knit Irish communities.  Please see the trailer below, and if you like what you see we'd be thrilled if you can spread the word to anyone you know in these locations.

We'll keep you posted on further screenings in different cities as well as the forthcoming DVD release at www.IrishPubFilm.com.

Go raibh míle maith aghaibh,

Alex & Denis

Once spent a thoroughly enjoyable time in a Pub in Mullingar, the name escapes me, listening to two Farmers talking to the Landlord, you've got two Farmers still with the muck on them, one looks like a little Leprechaun of a fella, the Landlord was a "horse and cart " of a man, they where going at it10 to the dozen , wonderful !

I recently watched "The Irish Pub" film on Netflix. I have to say it was a wonderful insight into the local pub from all over Ireland. It brought back so many great memories of my trips to Ireland. A couple of times, I even had a tear in my eyes because I had such a good time in the local pubs that I visited. I highly recommend this film to everybody. I am hoping to get my own copy of this film for my collection.
