Friday: LIVE Community Chat on Ireland's Mummering Tradition

On Friday, December 20, 2013, we'll be joined by folklorist / entertainer (and fellow Wild Geese member) Jim Ledwith for a LIVE Community Chat on the mummering tradition in Ireland.  Mummering is a Christmastime house-visiting tradition which appears to have deep roots all the way back to Celtic times in Ireland and Britain.

Jim Ledwith is with the Aughakillymaude Community Mummers Centre in County Fermanagh, and he'll be joining us in the Main Chat Room here at TheWildGeese.com from 5:00 p.m. Eastern (U.S.) Time.  Come with your questions and comments ... it's sure to be a spirited discussion.

Below is a video showcasing the mummering tradition as it's being practiced by some today.
