Chat With Doire Press' John Walsh, Get a Shot at a Book

We're excited to be launching our next members' giveaway today.  We will be sending five members of The Wild Geese a complimentary copy of 'Galway Stories', a collection of 20 short stories all based in Galway just released by Doire Press

This Wednesday (May 8th), we will be privileged to hold a LIVE members' chat here with Galway-based author and poet, John Walsh (who is also now a member of The Wild Geese).  Everyone who joins us here in the main chat room for the live chat and asks John a question will be entered in to the drawing for one of the five copies of 'Galway Stories.'  We've noticed quite a large number of members who are book-lovers.  If that's you, this chat will be something in which you will want to participate.

All you have to do to be in with a chance to win a copy of the book is:

    1) Make sure you are a registered member of The Wild Geese

    2) Join us for the live chat with John on Wednesday, May 8th at 3 p.m. ET

    3) Ask John a question about himself, his work, or just about anything else!

That's it.  We'll put the names of everyone who participates in the live chat into the random drawing for the five copies of the book.  And, if you're an aspiring writer (or perhaps a published writer looking for someone to publish your next book), John may be just the guy you need to talk with!  Hope to see you in the main chat room on Wednesday!  WG

I would love some Irish Rain, mo chara!

I have published a chapbook of Western Poetry, a compilation of both my Poetry and my late husband's poetry. That was done in 2004

In 2005, I released a children's picture book, "Cactus Faeries", available through Authorhouse.

I currently have two projects ready for publishing. The first, a Poetry/Photography book, "Mis Raices Estan Aqui ~ Times Remembered" which is a compilation of ten years of Poetry and Photography, both from the Southwest and Ireland. The second, "They Walked Here Once" is a Photographic/Prose journey throughout Ireland showcasing some of the less often visited ruins.

I also have two childrens book manuscripts ready to go, "Critter Sitters" and "Abuela's Tortillas".

Just a wee bit of writing. ;-) I have also written articles and reviews for local publication and some travel blogs.

Reworking my schedule for tomorrow. I look forward to the chat!

Slan go Foill,

Bit
