Gerry,
I live in the city of Pereira in the coffee region. Not much Irish presence here - just one girl from Dublin married to a Colombian doctor that I know. I have heard that there are two Irish lads who run a hostal "The Pit Stop" in Medellin and I am sure there must be other Irish folks in Bogota, a city of about 8 million. Even though we don't have an Irish community here, every year my Colombian wife and I host a St. Patrick's Day event for our Colombian family and friends to promote the name and culture of Ireland.
James, delighted you found your way to The Wild Geese. Are you Irish born? And how did you come to settle in Colombia?
Hello, James!
Great to see a Wild Goose in Colombia! I see you're in a prime coffee growing area. I do love a fine cup of Colombian coffee!
Anyway, very curious to hear your own "Irish story" here. Wild Geese members love to hear about one another's backgrounds. Looking forward to interacting with you on The Wild Geese in the future.
Welcome aboard, James!
~ Ryan
James, we do have another Irish citizen living in Colombia within The Wild Geese, new member Caroline Doherty De Novoa. You guys might connect on St. Patrick's Day, and post some photos here!
Hi James - I don't know any other Irish in Bogotá (although I am sure there are lots of us, we get everywhere) - but here's two blogs from fellow Irish living in Cali that I thought I'd share:

Jim, welcome to The Living History group on The Wild Geese. Do you portray anyone from Irish history or are you generally interested in this way of pursuing history?
Hi Jim - I'm going to be on overseas radio at 2pm (Colombia time) on Monday talking about Ireland and Colombia. As you also have a special interest in both I thought I'd let you know. The show is called Colombia Calling on www.overseasradio.com
