Grainne Seoige, Irish TV presenter, follows in the footsteps of Victorian writer and staunch Unionist Thomas Carlyle who along with nationalist and young Irelander Charles Gavin Duffy toured the countryside in July 1849 to witness and record life in Famine Ireland. If you are interested in Famine history, this video will haunt you. A must see.
