Thank you Jim for sharing this with us and congrats to CBC for their diligence in telling the story.  It is only one of the many from the Brig St. John disaster in Cohasset MA to the wreck of the ship Mexico off Long Island, NY.  Sadly when most think of the Great Hunger, they focus on the tragedy in Ireland (which was horrible enough), but the story of the Coffin Ships is as much a horror and too little studied.  The third part of the triple tragedy is the conditions that the surviving immigrants were forced to endure in the slums of the new world amid bigoted Nativists.  It gives a new appreciation for the courage and tenacity of our ancestors.

Is there any chance that anyone has (or knows where one can find) a copy of this documentary?
