As I grew up on a farm on the northern shore of Galway Bay that is my favorite Irish body of water. The setting sun does look wonderful there as the song says.

My favorite form of Irish water has long been uisce beatha.  Lovely stuff.

I am reminded of Hennesy in "The Riordans" TV series who used to say "Sure, 'tis the water I like" when he would order his favorite uisce beatha in Johnny Mack's bar.

I'm going to have to go with Galway Bay since I'm usually traversing it on the way to the Aran Islands.
