I read this book and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it. You have a great eye for the place and the people. For example, nothing in an Irish rural kitchen matches....to the hard consonants that mark one character's speech from the other. Your observations about the place and the people were mesmerizing to me, stirring so many memories of Galway of my own. I (once upon a time) lived in a flat on Dominick Street...
