It might seem odd but House of Monaghan -- Custom Coffee Roasters actually began in Ireland (or at least the idea).  

On my first visit to Ireland, I got to experience Ireland's emerging speciality coffee scene a bit.  Though a little behind due to the long popularity of tea, Ireland is embracing specialty coffee all over.  That inspired me to turn my love of coffee into a business.  Over time, the idea evolved of letting the customer choose the raw green bean and the roast level, and then creating a custom-roasted pound of coffee, to their exact specifications.  And so House of Monaghan - Custom Coffee Roasters was born!
