Following on from the Belleek video in our series of Meet the Makers Videos here on The Irish Store is our trip to Ogham Wishes Workshop in the remote village of Knockcroghery in County Roscommon in March 2014.

Ogham writing is Ireland’s ancient script. It can still be found on many standing stones throughout various rural parts of Ireland. Meet Ethel Kelly, the maker of the award winning Ogham prints who tell us the story behind the ancient manuscript of Ireland and how her prints are uniquely made. The beautiful prints are charming in their simplicity and authentic to Ireland.

We hope you enjoy our short video, please let us know if there are any other places you would like us to visit in our Meet the Makers Series.

Take a look at the stunning Ogham prints here on The Irish Store and purchase yourself a truly unique piece of Irish art.
