Endless shades of green everywhere you look

Sounds of water from a babbling brook

Fresh smells the air after a summer shower

As we walk the woods you can feel the power

Of a land whose people love so dear

And with each step taken dwindles our troubles and fears

Soon we gather and board into the Blue Beast

And with steady driver at the helm we head to a pub for a feast

Soon voices, music, and laughter fill the air

And we celebrate the end of a day without a care

New found friends and memories are gotten

In a land of our ancestors not soon forgotten

With each passing day our hearts were filled

With more love of land and each and every hill

But with all good things time has past

As we come to the end of our journey at last

And with a smile on my face and a tear in my eye

We left Dublin airport and said good-bye

And as we stood in line waiting our turn

We vowed like all, we will return

To a land and people who captured our hearts

For love that we felt cannot keep us apart
