Rose, I use a Mac, and I just hold down the key to the vowel I want to put the "fada" (diacritical marking denoting the elongated pronunciation), and it gives me a choice of markings. Are you using a Windows machine? Not sure how it's accomplished on Windows.
Sorry I missed the live presentation and thanks to Wild Geese for leaving this here. I really enjoyed that Frances. May every blessing be upon your project and God Speed !!!
Thank You! For your best wishes and blessings. I look forward to seeing my baby dance on stage! The Last Torch thanks you. I never really explained the title... :o)
Wonder how the word Sibin got imported to South Africa. I'm sure there's a great story there.
Here is link to Eleanor's Aria sung live in the hills of Perth summer 2013. Eleanors Aria It's a simple recording done with using my mac..
If you would like a copy I have unlocked it for download just for you... Like I said it's not perfect, but it's heartfelt.. Eleanor's Aria download
Thanks for sharing that, Fran. I've posted that track below the video window above to be sure everyone sees it and can listen to this lovely piece.
Good work Ryan! Nice :-)
Rose, I use Firefox, and then set it to the downloadable Gaeilge dictionary for the browser's spell-check feature. So if a word is missing a requisite accent in Irish, it give you the option to insert it. The downside, all English words are marked as misspelt too, but you can ignore those.
