New York -- WG member Cormac O'Malley, left, poses with Erskine Childers IV at the last networking breakfast till September at the Irish Consulate in Manhattan. Cormac is the son of Ernie O'Malley, the 'intellectual of the IRA,' while Childers is the great-grandson of Robert Erskine Childers, who served as secretary-general of the Irish delegation that negotiated the Anglo-Irish Treaty in 1921. Both Ernie O'Malley and Erskine Childers opposed the Anglo-Irish Treaty, with Childers ultimately executed by a Free State firing squad.
