My Dad, Jerry Regan, and his brother, Ray, at their parents' home in Richmond Hill, Queens, in the halcyon days before Pearl Harbor, when both had volunteered in the U.S. Army hoping to get mandatory military service out of the way before going forward with their professional lives.
