I just signed up to create my own 'Gathering' in Wexford. Gerry suggested I contact you. I have created a spreadsheet of the names from Nova Scotia records that crossover with the late 1700's marriages and births i have in Parish of Carne for what I hope are my Scallions, Doyles and Johnsons. When I saw Lamport I remembered that I have a baptism for JAMES SCALLION MAY 30 1781 BORN AT LOGINSHERD sponsores: Patrick Keating and ? O'Neill alias LAMPORT. This may be Jane O'Neill who as sponsor at his brother John's baptism but this means she was a LAMPORT. Were their LAMPORTS in your family and in Wexford?
Please thank your family for me it was so kind of them to allow me to stay with you all for a while until my B&B in Wexford town opened up I would have loved to meet them! It turned out great for me staying in town and you were right much more convenient. Oisin O'Connell was too busy too until the very last day, I am posting my blogpost on our journey around New Ross right now and I uploaded a little video I made with him at the Kennedy Homestead last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj6zmNZZmNg
