Streams of Whiskey is a seven-piece band from New York, and they've been performing the raucous Irish folk-rock of Shane MacGowan and company live since St. Patrick's Day 2007. Their faithful recreation of the magic and mayhem of the original band includes such '80s and '90s hits as "Fairytale of New York," "The Sick Bed of Cuchulainn" and "If I Should Fall From Grace with God."
Steve Wickins (Vocals) - From Sussex, England (a stones throw from where Shane was born), Steve was around in the days of punk and the Pogues and carries with him a love for the music.
Karen Kelly (Tin Whistle) - From West Orange, New Jersey grew up in a household listening to the likes of the Clancy brothers, Tommy Makem and the Dubliners. She soon became obsessed with the Pogues.
Stuart Klinger (Guitar) - From NYC had never before heard any Irish music whatsoever before being approached by the couple and soon also became obsessed to the point of needing medication.
Brian Hotlz (Bass) - Let's get info on this lad!
Jeff Young (Fiddle) - From Brooklyn, plays all kinds of music and shreds the fiddle like tomorrow isn't coming but fell in love with the Pogues as soon as heard them.
Darren Gage (Drums) - Can seriously play the drums!!!
Sebastian MacLaughlin (Mandolin/Tenor Banjo) - From Donegal, Ireland, LOVES the Pogues especially Shane's song writing. MacLaughlin, a painter, musician and general character, has an uncanny understanding of how Pogues/Irish music works....wonder why?
