Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the tragic love story of Joseph Plunkett and Grace Gifford with this song by the Wolfetones.
(Song written by Sean And Frank O'Meara) Joseph Mary Plunkett (Irish: Seosamh Máire Pluincéid, 21 November 1887 -- 4 May 1916). Read more about them here: http://thewildgeese.irish/profiles/blogs/joseph-plunkett-and-grace-gifford
i learned so much about my grandfather's homeland from the lyrics of the Wolfetones songs. I need to replace my cds as they have gotten scratched over the years. I was blessed to be able to visit the Emerald Isle on a trip sponsored by my parish. Along with two of my siblings, there were three other siblings groups from church. we had known each other for generations so it was a wonderful trip..... but too MANY years ago now
