A memorial stone, honoring Father Patrick McCabe will be unveiled and Fr. McCabe commemorated  by The Fenian Memorial Committee of America on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at St Mary's Cemetery outside Waseca, Minnesota.  Fr. McCabe, a native son of Lough Gowna, Co. Cavan, was a secret hero in the escape from an Australian prison to America of 7 Fenians, John Boyle O'Reilly and 6 other Fenians aboard the whaler, the Catalpa in 1876. A second book on Fenians has been written in Perth ,Western Australia titled Fenian 63 by  Peter Murphy.
