Des Donnelly, Poet, Co Tyrone

As a Tyrone man born here in 1955 and reared throughout The Struggle for national self determination I have very little patience for the Freestater who turned a blind eye to the suffering of the Catholic in the North under the heel of the ascendancy since partition and who, in the War years, was abused and murdered by the British.
The history is being re-written in my own time and I see no word of all the people murdered in their homes here in Tyrone.
I am happy to debate this with anyone since I have lived here and I know the truth. I have stood at the graves of people like Kathleen O'Hagan here in Tyrone and Frank Stagg in Ballina and if anyone thinks The Struggle is over they are seriously mistaken.
