I set up my blog here with the intention of telling the real, deeper story of the land of our collective birth -- Ireland. Mise Eire. Not the watered-down, errant Hollywood version. Not the version beaten into us by harsh invaders. The real deal, if you like. Anyone reading it will come to realize with magnificent surprise, as I have, that we hail from a mist-shrouded isle of mystical, deep rooted, historical significance. Our story starts this time around at the end of the last ice age, and just before the great deluge when the first named individual Cessair landed on our virgin shores. In my book titled, "Don't Die With Regrets," I chronicle the magical story.
My research has led me to one significant fact: We were kept underfoot for centuries for one specific reason only -- our opressors feared our potential!
I hope the readers will enjoy and delight in the fact that we Irish, are truly a race apart.
