Classic film ... considered by most to be the one that really opened the eyes of people in North America to the wonders of Ireland as a tourist destination.
We have "Quiet Man" spots all over our area of Ireland (Connemara) as it was filmed in Cong (on the north edge of Connemara), and other scenes were filmed in different spots in Connemara. We brought my brother-in-law to the famous "Quiet Man Bridge" just outside of Oughterard, and he struck this pose in tribute to John Wayne:
