LearnIrish.com Launches on Indiegogo - Please Sign Up & Support!

LearnIrish.com is a new initiative that aims to make the Irish language and learning resources more accessible to learners throughout the world. By offering an affordable and well structured Irish language course it aims to give people the opportunity to learn at their own pace and in the comfort of their own home. It's currently gathering funds to make it all possible and needs as many recruits as possible.

Despite all the current efforts to revive and promote the language the Irish language has been earmarked by Unesco as being 'Definitely Endangered'. It is just one of the 3,500+ languages feared to die out within the next 100 years.

I have been learning Irish for just over 7 years. I have studied the language at post graduate level, attended night classes and conversation groups religiously and even lived for a short while in the Connemara Gaeltacht - I believe that in today's age the language and learning resources should be more accessible to people all over the globe and, with your help, I am hoping to deliver one of the best Irish language courses available.

LearnIrish.com is an exciting, grass roots project with a lot to offer. Please support this campaign from as little as $8 and help LearnIrish.com reach its full potential.

Please sign up as early as possible!

C'mon, folks ... you can show your support and esteem for the language of our homeland for as little as $8.  Let's do this!

Thanks Homeland :) really appreciate your support. I need as many people to know about this as possible so please tweet, email and fb about it! Need a real push with it over the next 12 days

Thanks to everyone who has pledged so far, some very generous contributions from have came through. We've reached 30% of our target so far and with just 12 days to go we'll need a real push to help get the word out. If you have Facebook why not post a link to the campaign or email your friends and family about it.

Every little helps, thanks to everyone too who has shared, tweeted, emailed, blogged or told anyone about the campaign.

If I can ask you to take a few minutes to think of some folk who might be interested in the campaign and to perhaps drop them an email about it - The more contributions we have will enable us to put together an even better course.

Go raibh míle maith agaigh,

Peter, I left a message on the site but I wasn't sure it went through,  I made another contribution to give as a gift but there was nowhere to check to get the certificate.  How do I do that?  Thanks !

Hi Jean, Thanks for your second contribution, I really appreciate it. I'm making the certificates just now - I'll send them out in the next few hours :)

Still time to sign up for anyone who wants to learn irish or who wants to treat someone else to a very uniqueChristmas present!

Thanks again to TWG for all their support so far with this. It's been a great help
