LearnIrish.com Launches on Indiegogo - Please Sign Up & Support!

LearnIrish.com is a new initiative that aims to make the Irish language and learning resources more accessible to learners throughout the world. By offering an affordable and well structured Irish language course it aims to give people the opportunity to learn at their own pace and in the comfort of their own home. It's currently gathering funds to make it all possible and needs as many recruits as possible.

Despite all the current efforts to revive and promote the language the Irish language has been earmarked by Unesco as being 'Definitely Endangered'. It is just one of the 3,500+ languages feared to die out within the next 100 years.

I have been learning Irish for just over 7 years. I have studied the language at post graduate level, attended night classes and conversation groups religiously and even lived for a short while in the Connemara Gaeltacht - I believe that in today's age the language and learning resources should be more accessible to people all over the globe and, with your help, I am hoping to deliver one of the best Irish language courses available.

LearnIrish.com is an exciting, grass roots project with a lot to offer. Please support this campaign from as little as $8 and help LearnIrish.com reach its full potential.

Please sign up as early as possible!

This is great!  Thanks for sharing it with The Wild Geese community, Peter.  It will help many people outside of Ireland who have always wanted to learn the language of their ancestors.

Thanks Ryan, I really appreciate it. Thanks to everyone too who have already signed up and shared this with their friends and family. 18 days left, I hope to get as many people learning Irish as possible!

I just signed up / contributed as well!  Should be fun, and I expect to learn much along the way.  Thanks, Peter and LearnIrish.com.

Good luck, Peter.  Pledged what I could, hope to find more pennies soon.

I would SO like to learn the language of my ancestry: I'm Irish on both sides of my family (and I have all the "recessive" genes to prove it!) but I've never had a chance to study this language.

I'll wish you great luck on your goal, and when the classes do start - you can wish me luck with the class!

Thanks Kathleen, I really appreciate your support. It's quite hard to put the time aside to learn a language - Hopefully it'll be a lot easier with LearnIrish.com :)

Thanks again. We need as many recruits as possible!

27% of the way there! Let's see if we can make it to 33% in the next few days! Share the link with family and friends or tell them to go to learnirish.com and pledge for themselves. Makes a great Christmas gift for just $8! Thanks again to TWG for all the support with the campaign so far.
