Does any Dubliner remember the story of Honor Bright, who was murdered in Ticknock? What have you heard about her?

What I know of her, I know from the stories I have heard...

Honor Bright was her working name...She worked the Stephen's Green area... lived in Harold's Cross

Lily O'Neill was her given name... a Clare girl...I believe that she might have had a young child... not yet school age... left behind

She was murdered back in the mid 1920s... and the Garda Super stood trial for her murder.. the verdict came back in under five minutes...though he was acquitted... there was always a cloud of doubt to surround him the rest of his days...

Thanks for your comment Bit, and sorry it's taken me so long to reply - I've only just found it!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and here's wishing you a happy, healthy, successful New Year.
