....I was blessed in 2013 to enjoy a visit to Ireland. My daughter, Lisa, did her Geology Field Study at  Petersburg in Clonbur. At that time, I was caregiver to my 95 year-old dad. My wonderful siblings decided that I should go meet Lisa! My dream was to see the Cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands. (Silly Texan, I had no idea that there is SO MUCH more to Ireland!!!) She wanted to see Newgrange. Neither of us wanted to drive, so we used trains, busses, and taxis. It was a fabulous trip!! I learned the true meaning of "May the wind be at your back." Such a wild, wet time, especially on the cliffs. Thankfully, we were prepared with rain gear. I'm very glad to have it now, here in central Texas, as we've been experiencing some very WET weather.

Weather did not permit viewing the cliffs from the ferry, and I was a bit disappointed. When we returned, I found Wild West Irish Tours on Facebook, and REALLY wanted to return and experience it with them!! I've had several internet contacts with Michael and would be thrilled to actually meet him, along with all the fabulous locals he introduces to the groups.

I would also like to see Clonbur, and especially meet Tomas, at Burke's Clonbur. He was so good to Lisa during her stay.Of course her favorite spot would be a pub!!! Time did not permit that to happen in 2013.

Finances do not currently permit me to return. Winning this trip would be another blessing!
