During their more than ninety years at Kylemore, the Benedictine community invested everything in developing the school, and later in developing Kylemore, into a place whose serenity and beauty draws thousands of international visitors. Their focus on education and involvement in the school were such that visitors had difficulty in recognizing Kylemore as a monastic place. There was never a true monastery and the nuns now live in two separate areas; a few in the old convent in the castle and the others in the “farm house” located far from Kylemore activity. Currently there is a plan underway to construct a monastery for the nuns to grow their order and lead a true monastic life. All donations raised from the concert will go directly to the Benedictine Nuns at Kylemore Abbey for the new monastery.

This is a fantastic offer! If I were closer, I would definitely attend! Extending a discount to Wild Geese members is very much appreciated!
