Go raibh maith agat,Maire! I like it too! My family of Browne's are from Skibbereen. I've met quite a few Browne's from Ireland, most spell it with an "e" at the end. All the best, Tom.
Welcome, Thomas! Glad you've found our new little-but-budding community. I was looking at the conversation you were having above with Maire about the Browne surname. Do you have roots in Galway? As you may know, 'Browne' was one of the foremost 'tribes' of Galway City during medieval times.
Also, tell us about what's going on in your profile pic. Looks interesting.
Welcome aboard, Thomas!

Hi Ryan,
I'm planning on connecting with my Aunt who has been our family historian to find out more about our genealogy past great grandfather I believe she has paid for a study. Also the picture was taken at the NYC Irish Consulate on Park Avenue. I'm holding a book published in honor of the 250th marching of the St. Patricks Day Parade up 5th Avenue. I belong to a number of Irish related organisations which are always having one event or another many at the consulate or Consul General Noel Kilkennys home which has stunning views of most of NY from the 52nd floor wrap around terrace. Due these functions I have been fortunate to meet many interesting people including the current Taoiseach Enda Kenny and sticking to the genealogy theme President Obama's 8th cousin who is now involved with a free family search vehicle called Ireland xo I think it may be sponsored by the Irish government. Anyway, hope all is well nice to chat. Best, Tom.
Great stuff, Tom. From the sounds of it, you have a lot of interesting things to share with our community here at The Wild Geese. Hope you post a blog, some photos, etc. from time to time about these events and other things revolving around your Irish interests. ~ Ryan
