Welcome, Robert! Please let us know what you're looking for and how we can help!
Where did your Manns settle down? I've been looking into the family of my Great Grandma Hester Ann Stevens (nee Mann) Wilkie down in NC. Her ancestors appear to have first settled in Virginia in the 17th or 18th century before they continued on to "The Old North State." I have often wondered what their ethnicity was. Great Grandma's picture, taken about the time she was married in 1860, shows her to have been a striking beauty of the Black Irish type.
Hi, Robert.
Just wanted to extend a bit of a belated welcome here to The Wild Geese. Hope you've had the opportunity to look around the site to see what's on offer. Of course, there is even more to come. It's a great little burgeoning community with loads of interesting folks enjoying the discussion of all-things-Irish.
I saw your post on the "Welcome to the Flock" discussion ... great stuff. Hope to hear more about your own Irish connections here in the days ahead.
Thanks, Robert ... and welcome aboard!
~ Ryan
