Touch Lives ... Across New York City, Chicago,
Washington, Canada, Scotland, and England

To date, nearly a quarter of a million people in five countries have woken in the small hours of the morning and taken part in "Darkness Into Light," and this year we will touch the lives of thousands in 80 venues across Ireland and internationally. Join us, wherever you are, either on foot or in spirit!

Darkness Into Light is very much about hope and hope is something we endeavour to give each person who comes to us in their time of need. We help them feel more hopeful about the future as we continue to tackle the grave issue of suicide and self-harm in Ireland. Read on … 

Darkness into Light Walk/Run, Saturday, May 9th in Gaelic Park and 80 other venues in Ireland across the Irish diaspora.

NYC's first ever Darkness into Light walk/run in NYC starts and ends at historic Gaelic Park. Participant registration and T-shirt pick-up begins at 4:15 AM, with the walk scheduled to start at 5:15 AM. The 5K route will start and finish in Gaelic Park and will also go through famous Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. 

All are encouraged to attend, both young and old, marathoners to walkers, to support Pieta House as it strives to open the first-ever Pieta House service outside of Ireland here in New York City. Volunteers

Along the 5K route we will need up to 100 volunteers to ensure a smooth registration and T-shirt pick-up, and secure safety officers and stewarding for the event. We urgently need volunteers from any background and especially are looking for those with an FDNY, NYPD or construction safety background to help out on the day.
