The Ferguson TE20 tractor - the famous 'Little Grey Fergie' - was designed by Co. Down born engineering genius, Harry Ferguson. This photo shows the 517,651st and final TE20, which in 1956 rolled off the production line at Coventry's Banner Lane factory, which was supposedly the largest tractor factory in the world. The Banner Lane plant gave employment to thousands of post-war Irish immigrants and one of those Irishmen was my uncle, John Punch, who somehow managed to position himself right in the middle of this photo, standing between the two managers behind the tractor.
