Syracuse, N.Y. -- A unique celebration of Irish culture in central New York state drew close to 300 individuals to Syracuse for an event that spanned 5 hours and three venues. The centerpiece was a screening of the Atom Films' documentary "The Irish Pub" at Syracuse's historic Landmark Theatre. Originally named Loew's State, the theater's opening was announced February 18, 1928. It was advertised as "the last word in theatrical ornateness and luxuriousness." Its lobbies continue to feature a wealth of colors and materials -– marble, terrazzo, tapestries, filigrial chandeliers, and exotic furnishings.
