Syracuse, N.Y. -- A unique celebration of Irish culture in central New York state drew close to 300 individuals to Syracuse for an event that spanned 5 hours and three venues. The centerpiece was a screening of the Atom Films' documentary "The Irish Pub" at Syracuse's historic Landmark Theatre. At the heart of the event, clearly, is the nearby, legendary Irish enclave of Tipperary Hill, whose indefatigable spirit has come to be represented by the unique traffic light there 'where green is on top.' More than a dozen sponsors and media partners supported the effort, including The Wild Geese in Syracuse, Guinness, The Irish American Heritage Museum (Albany) and The Wild Geese Irish Heritage Partners Heritage Hurleys and Tailten Games.
