I was pleasantly surprised, nay, delighted, to be handed a glass of Knappogue Castle Irish Whiskey yesterday, served on 'the rocks,' at the holiday rites at the home of fellow WG member Dan McLaughlin and family. Here is our host getting ready to pour. Go raibh mile maith agat, Dan!

I don't always put out extra money for superior quality whiskey, but when I do, it's Jameson ; D

I've not had the chance to try Knappogue Castle yet...

I hear that single-malt is a real treat, Fran. Until Dan explained a few days ago, I had no idea blended whiskies were different than single malt. This might be the season to give Knappogue a lift, an early Christmas present! :-)

Knappogue Castle is one of the numerous Clare castles built by Macs.  Not sure if the whiskey is made by Macs but guessing it's great whiskey.

Jim, give it a go, and report back here! Castle Brands is a big supporter of our work, and also happens to make outstanding distilled beverages with a distinctly Irish 'flavor.'
