New York -- Writer and director Jim Sheridan, in the picture's foreground, returned to his filmmaking roots Saturday with a 60-minute interview followed by a screening of one of Sheridan's numerous Oscar-nominated films, in this case, "In America." The event drew a full house, close to 400 attendees, to NYU's Cantor Film Center. Here, Jim walks offstage with a memento from a former colleague, an original program for the October 1982 production of "The Interrogation of Ambrose Fogarty," the first Jim directed as artistic director for NYC's Irish Arts Center. Behind Jim is the event moderator, Niall McKay.
