How did I miss these? Love Roscommon Castle...but was more fond of it before all of the "improvements"

The birds head carving is a bit small and hard to find and you are right some of the repairs are very bad, If get here again I will show it to you....and I love the Castle too...

I had planned to be in Roscommon this June...but Shoulder replacement surgery sort of squashed that plan...No worries, I will be there next year. I have some photos pre-improvement. I will have to hunt them up.

They were part of a "Visit Roscommon" tourism project. It was a grand time being able to share one of my favorite counties

Well I look forward to meeting you when you come over, why not look up Roscommon Heritage Group on Face Book it is a site I manage and has lots of photos.
