Gave me goosebumps!!  Fantastic timing regarding the raven's landing with outstretched wings. I can understand this photo winning the contest!! (beautiful old street lamp!!)

When viewing this pic full size, I deemed this bird to be a gull.  ???

Thanks, Greg, for clearing that up. :)  After I studied it further, the wingspread appeared to wide to be a raven or crow plus it's so close to water.  Much appreciation for your reply.  :)
