Last Letter From Sgt. Lawrence 'Turk' Condon, U.S. Army

Written in pencil on August 29, 1918. Two days later he went 'over the top' with his unit, the 106th U.S. Infantry and was mortally wounded, dying in a Canadian army field hospital on Sept. 4. Turk ended his note by stating, "By the looks of things, the war will be over soon."
