What a fantastic photo to have, Jane. So are any of the children in the photo your grandmother or grandfather?

This is a great photo, Jane.  Is the house still there in any form -- ruins or otherwise?

Hi Joe and Ryan ..  In answer to your questions .. The older adults in the center are my great-grandparents, but my grandmother, their eldest daughter Ellen, emigrated to the USA in 1908 well before this photo.  The young ones pictured here would most likely be her nieces and nephews, one of whom still lives in the house pictured here.  The house hasn't really changed all that much beyond the thatching being replaced by slates and interior updating.  Like millions of others, my grandmother never saw her home or parents again after walking out of that door for the last time.  When I walked through that door for the first time so many decades later a circle was finally closed.

How cool, Jane.  I just love hearing about old houses like this that have remained in the same family.
