The great Irish tenor John McCormack (1884-1945) was born in Drumsna, Co.Leitrim. He first came to the U.S. starting in 1909, and became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1917. In 1930 he settled in Hollywood where he lived until 1938 when he moved to England. His recordings are still listened to and enjoyed to this day.
