Just outside the Cobh Heritage Centre stands a statue of Annie Moore who left Ireland from Cobh and was the first person processed through Ellis Island when it officially opened on 1st January 1892

I have no clue as to the year my g.grandfather passed through Ellis Island from County Longford. Thank you for this photo that predates his arrival in America.  :)
