This is our new Irish Wolfhound, Tadhg. We adopted him just three days ago from the Burren Animal Rescue in County Clare. He's a five-year-old who needed a home, and we were all too happy to give him a home where he'll be warm, well fed, loved, and spoiled.

We brought Tadhg with us to Galway City on Paddy's Day, and he was stopped and loved-on by hundreds (possibly over 1,000) perfect strangers who were amazed at both his immense size and his incredibly gentle and patient nature.

Please adopt, folks ... there are MILLIONS of wonderful animals like Tadhg out there who need loving homes.

An immense Irish Wolfhound named Charlie provided my introduction to the breed 35 years ago.  I was amazed at what a sociable guy he was.  He'd wait on his back porch and would come bounding to the back gate to greet me whenever I'd walk past.  The old boy could never get enough attention, and I was always happy to provide it.
